What Happens in the Unscored Hours

About a fifth of the school week sits outside any mark sheet on purpose — house sport, debate club, art, music, and a rotating set of interest groups that change each term based on what students ask for. The rule is simple: nothing in this block gets graded, and nothing in it is compulsory beyond showing up to whatever the student picked. That's deliberate — the point is to give children something to be curious about without a score attached to it. It's also where we learn the most about a student's actual interests, which regularly feeds back into subject choices later — a student who spends two years in the debate club rarely struggles with the Grade IX English persuasive-writing unit.

The best way to understand Laurus is to walk it — the classrooms, the labs, the four acres of open ground. Book a visit or call the admissions desk directly.
